23rd October -Heart of St Kilda Concert 2018 at the Palais Theatre

With a star-studded lineup, the eleventh Heart of St Kilda Concert, supporting the work of Sacred Heart Mission, is always well attended. The Concert raises funds for the Mission’s Meals Program, based in its Dining Hall in Grey St, St Kilda, which supplies free, hot and nutritious meals 365 days of the year to people experiencing homelessness, social isolation and disadvantage.

Performers included : Archie Roach, Kate Ceberano, Tex Perkins & The Fat Rubber Band, Anne Edmonds, CDB, Linda Bull & Sime Nugent: Stardust, Bob Franklin, The Cartridge Family, Thando, Nath Valvo, Alma Zygier, Bev Killick, Margret RoadKnight, Loose Tooth, Imelda Yalcin, Rebecca Barnard, Billy Miller & The Caravan Choir and The Meltdown.

Kate Ceberano and CDB had the patrons up and dancing in spite of the theatre’s restrictions about not dancing in the aisles. A great night of music and comedy plus great raffle prizes which included a vintage-style electric guitar signed by all the artists who performed on the night.

If you missed this event there’s always next year.

Brian Nankervis, (a great entertainer, writer and performer)  was the  MC.
