Monash Jazz Club – Paul Grabowsky’s New Grooves 08/08/19

Thursday 8th August 2019;  at the  new Monash Jazz Club, Monash University, Clayton Campus.

Paul Grabowsky’s New Grooves, second in the Thursday night August series, featured Alma Zygier (vocals)  and Ashley Ballat  (trumpet),  for a night of original compositions and innovative jazz interpretations showcasing a range of styles, stories and sounds from  the early years of jazz to the present day.

Alma Zygier is an incredible vocalist and most of her shows are a sellout. Alma is joined by Ashley Ballat on the Trumpet.

The Band; Paul Grabowsky on the Piano – Mirko Guerrini on the Saxophone – Tamara Murphy on the Double Bass and Miles Henry on the Drums. Apparently Mile’s cymbals were stolen the day before. Hope whoever nicked it, will return them.

Few pics of the nights performance. Unfortunately, there is a problem with tagging photos. This website has been hacked a few times and may be the cause of the problem. Would appreciate anyone with a knowledge of wordpress to help resolve a few issues.

11/8 – Few of the tags worked this morning, more to be done.
