22nd Jan 2020; Wednesday Day 3 of the Australian Open
It was my first day at the Australian Open 2020 Tennis. Yesterday, I did the Jazzies Bushfire Benefit for Wildlife Victoria. Well, it rained and poured yesterday so I would have missed much of what went on the outside Courts. And last week it was the Kooyong Classic. With so much of Tennis in Australia during end December and January and the added ATP Team Championships; most players would be bordering on fatigue, leading to this Australian Open. The smoke haze in Melbourne during those days did not help either.
Wednesday – A partly sunny day, no rain during the day, but very windy and rain at night.
The Match between Stefanos Tsitsipas and P Kohlschreiber that I wanted to see – did not go ahead as Kohlschreiber was injured and that, was a walk over for Tsitsipas.
The other two matches that I sat through were the Marc Polmans Match which Polmans lost to the Serb, D Lajovic and Australia’s John Millman and H Hurkaaz at the Melbourne Arena (The Aussie players and supporters’ favourite arena). Millman won in straight sets. . Earlier, Milos Raonic from Canada went through to the next round.
Few Pics. Not all processed or Captioned, but will, eventually (time permitting)
