Day 1 of the US Open 2012 at Flushing Meadows New York.

Just got back to Australia after visiting New York, Canada and Los Angeles.

In New York it was the US Open Tennis  and Manhattan

In Canada it was catching up with Friends and relatives 24/7

In Los Angeles – it was witnessing a one time event of the century, the retirement of Space Shuttle Endeavour and its move to its final resting place at the Californian Science Centre in Los Angeles, California..

We were there to watch the first game of the day on the opening day to see our Samantha Stosur win over Petra Martic in straight sets. Soon after the match was over the rains came pouring down and play was suspended for over three hours until the rain stopped and the courts mopped.
