Festivals in Melbourne

This folder has photos of various Country, Cultural, and Music Festivals that take place in and around Melbourne.

Moomba is Melbourne’s biggest four day festival that is held on the Labour Day weekend. The biggest draw cards for this event are the Moomba Parade, the Moomba Masters (waterskiing) and of course the Fireworks on the banks of the Yarra.

The rides are getting spectacular each year and I think, prepares our young for space travel in the years to come. Now that they say that there is a distinct possibilty  that water exists on Mars, so is Space travel to Mars and its colonisation. Regret that I may not live to see what the future unfolds for our young, the bold and restless.  It is mind boggling to watch the rate at which, change is taking place in this evolutionary process and yet revel in the age old customs and traditions that are kept alive and well in these annual festivals.

Festivals bring together  all our Migrant people from all countries around the world and residing in Melbourne. There is one almost every week, if not more! Its a great way to experience and understand their culture, their food, their arts, and customs in a festive atmosphere where everyone can get involved. Its a lot of fun and a great learning experience for young and old alike.
